New Hose Bibbs Make Life Sweeter in Youngsville, LA

Master Drain Services had a customer this week in Youngsville, LA who’s home was on a water well system way back when, and some how when they connected to city water, their existing hose bibbs went dry.

The customer hired me to install 4 hose bibs around her home and connect to a 5th one that was in service from the city water system.

The immediate and obvious question was: where would I get water for the new hose bibbs?

To get water, I connected to the cold water supply under the master bath lavatory sink and piped it outside of the brick wall. Then I trenched around the house to 5 locations to install new hose bibbs. I added insulation to all of the exposed pipes, and later hose bibb vacuum breakers.

And I kept it old school by sweating all of my copper connections. Did I mention I hand dug all of the trenches, about 70 feet in total.

My customer was very happy and intends to use me in the future for other plumbing services.
