Leaking shower fixed in Youngsville, La

This week a customer of Master Drain Services in Youngsville had water steadily dripping from his shower head.

It was a clear sign that the shower cartridge inside the Delta valve body was compromised and needed to be changed. Usually lots of hard water over time cause the rubber gaskets inside of the cartridge to malfunction. This particular customer had a shower valve that was installed prior to 2006, when the house is built, which indicated it needed a blue Delta shower cartridge which is slightly longer than the newer Delta shower cartridges.

While I was changing the cartridge, the customer decided to change the color of the finish of the valve from oiled rubbed bronze to chrome to match the rest of his bathroom fixtures.
