Bathtub drain in Lafayette clogged with Legos

Recently I was called out to a home with two slow draining bathtubs in Lafayette.

Usually a drain cleaning job for a bathtub involves using a small cable machine. But in this case, the clog was directly at the strainer at the bottom of both tubs. I was able to use a screwdriver and needle nose pliers to clear both stoppages.

I unscrewed the stopper at the bottom of both tubs. In the master bath I pulled out Legos, a wire, a plastic top that covers a kids drink, and hair.

In the hall bathroom I pulled out lots of hair.

The customer has three young children.

I used the opportunity to remind the kids not to play with any toys in the tub that’s smaller than the tub drain.
